Client Development Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Marketing / Business Development – Client Development Team
Reports to: Director of Client Development
Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
The Client Development Coordinator plays a key role on the Client Development Team by providing hands-on assistance with client development initiatives, including pitches, proposals, and support of practice group and industry group projects. This role is heavily focused on research and data organization in support of the Director of Client Development, Client Development Managers, and the Pitch and Proposal Team.
Business Development & Client Support
- Compile client-focused data, including assembling reports and metrics from data analytics platforms as directed.
- Assist with coordinating practice group meeting logistics, including room reservations, invitations, attendance tracking, agenda preparation, and meeting materials.
- Research and develop content for practice and industry group website pages and pitch materials.
Pitches, Proposals, and Experience Management
- Work closely with the proposal professionals and client development managers, to create pitch/proposal materials utilizing AI-enabled platforms and other technology tools (PowerBI) to create content.
- Track pitch/proposal activity from intake through final submission – follow up with lead attorney to determine outcome.
- Prepare attorney biographies and representative matters in Word, PowerPoint, and PDF formats for business development use.
- Perform research to support practice group experience descriptions and business development materials.
Communications, Nominations & Rankings
- Draft and update content for the firm website, internal communications, newsletters, and other marketing channels, as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or a business-related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of marketing or business development experience; legal industry experience preferred. Advanced degree can meet a portion of experience requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to the firm’s brand voice.
- Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills; ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency in AI tools and data analytics platforms, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; experience with project management tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, motivated, and collaborative, with a client-service mindset and professionalism when working with attorneys and staff.
